Over 500 concurrent Cinegy users at Dogan TV Center in Turkey

Turkey’s Dogan TV Holding has increased the number of concurrent Cinegy production and editing desktops even further since IBC last year. With over 500 concurrent Cinegy users Dogan TV is continuing to expand and hold on to its leading position against competition in the broadcast industry. This success has also been recognized with a nomination for the IBC 2008 Innovation Awards in the content management category. The cinegy workflow solution meets all the requirements of a world leading IT-based broadcast system, excelling due to its scalability, ease of use and cost effectiveness.

Dogan TV is the largest commercial broadcaster in Turkey, offering a wide range of TV channels for news, drama, entertainment, music, sports and much more. As Dogan TV continues to grow - both by forming new channels and acquiring existing ones – the Cinegy platform easily expands with it, allowing the quick set up of new channels or easy integration of acquired channels. The existing system is simply expanded using ordinary IT hardware which is quickly deployed and set up. Dogan TV has grown from 30 channels last year and now offers an impressive 63 channels. Plans for further expansion continue. Unlike traditional tape-based commercial TV stations, where space is paramount, with cinegy workflow, this is no issue.

The figures from Dogan TV demonstrate the scale of the cinegy workflow system in place. The cinegy media archive currently holds 193,766 hours of archived media. The average ingest with per day with cinegy ingest  is 954 hours, and the average number of sequences(edit) created per day is 3300.

cinegy workflow is a fully integrated end-to-end production solution, integrating a convenient, scalable digital archive solution for the whole group, with collaborative production and workflows, taking care of all elements of the production workflow from ingest to broadcast automation. cinegy air provides the broadcast automation front-end and the real-time video server for both SD and/or HD playout in one integrated software suite. The new multi-channel playout provides simultaneous broadcasting of different playlists in various TV formats to multiple channels.
