LOS ANGELES—Cinegy (www.cinegy.com) will showcase the latest version of its award-winning enterprise media asset management, production and archiving platform Cinegy Workflow at the 2009 PBS Technology Conference, April 15-17, at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Cinegy Workflow is employed by broadcasters worldwide, including the BBC, to facilitate media production, digital asset management and broadcast play-back in an entirely tapeless environment.

With a track record of proven success in the implementation of major digital production workflows, cinegy workflow is the ideal choice for public broadcasters for whom time and cost efficiencies are especially important,”  said Cinegy Managing Director Daniella Weigner.

Cinegy Workflow is an integrated, all-in-one solution for media workgroups. The PC-based platform consists of a suite of tools, applications and open APIs encompassing every aspect of television production including ingest, logging, storyboarding, editing, post production, play-out and media archiving. The platform is entirely based on standard IT hardware and non-proprietary storage technology. It is also modular and scalable; it can be applied to a wide variety of production environments of differing size, scope and purpose. Additionally, it is low cost, easily deployable and simple to use.

Siemens IT Solutions and Service, a technology partner of the BBC, recently selected Cinegy Workflow as an essential component of BBC’s Digital Media Initiative (DMI). The digital workflow solution is helping to realized the implementation of tapeless and multi-platform production areas, linking these local repositories with a central archive and storage.

The PBS Technology Conference is the premier annual gathering for broadcast engineers, information technology and traffic professionals, as well as General Managers and senior executives within public television.  The Conference serves as a forum for education, professional development, and exposure to new ideas and technologies, as well as a chance to network and visit with friends and colleagues.
