Based at Pinewood Studios, CandelaMedia will act as a reseller and integrator of Cinegy’s workflow technology to broadcast and post production companies in the UK and elsewhere in Western Europe. In the first fruits of the new agreement, CandelaMedia will oversee the installation of cinegy workflow at London post production house CTN.

Murray added that he is particularly impressed with Cinegy’s integration for Avid and FinalCut Pro workstations, and its unique ability to allow multiple artists to work in parallel on a common set of media files. “That feature alone significantly reduces the time it takes to complete a project,” he said.

The recent selection of cinegy workflow by Siemens IT Solutions as an essential technology component of the BBC’s Digital Media Initiative, DMI, has spurred considerable interest in the product in the UK and elsewhere. Interest has risen, not only among broadcasters, but also among post production companies, television producers, visual effects companies and educational institutions intrigued by the time and cost saving advantages of tapeless workflows based on IP technology.
