Cinegy News is the fully integrated the-end-to-end news production and real-time playout solution. Cinegy News provides everything from automated news feed handling, story writing, review and approvoal, fully integrated video and audio editing, voiceover recording, rundown creation, graphics, template based titles and teleprompting. The whole solution sits on top of the Cinegy Archive MAM solution, uses Cinegy Desktop with its new features for news production as the collaborative team production environment and finally with the new Cinegy Air News & Type provides real-time playout of video and graphics.

Cinegy News uses standard PCs or servers and integrates into existing enterprise IT infrastructure easily. With Cinegy News the production process is highly streamlined due to the very tight integration of story creation, video and audio editing, titles and graphics and finally direct playout without rendering or export.

After years of development Cinegy is launching its fully integrated, end-to-end news production and playout solution Cinegy News. For years Cinegy has been integrated part of many news rooms around the world providing MAM, video production and playout functionality. In the past the Cinegy products were integrated with news solutions such as ENPS, iNews or others. While this integration is still possible, the launch of Cinegy News marks a new chapter.

Now all the tools that journalist and program makers need are present inside the Cinegy News solution so that no other third party products are needed.

The Cinegy News solution consists of the following products:

• Cinegy Archive - the MAM and archive solution for real-time collaborative workflow, short and long time archive, powerful search and enterprise level access and rights management and control
• Cinegy Desktop - now with integrated news oriented tools for storywriting, pool and story management, approval workflows,  integrated video editing, voice-over recording, and template based graphics
• Cinegy Convert - for automated news feed import of video (with metadata), images, text and other documents as well as automated export and delivery
• Cinegy Workspace - web client for remote access and integration into existing web portals
• Cinegy Capture - for live, file or tape based video capture in multiple qualities and resolutions supporting most commonly used codec and container formats
• Cinegy Air News - the new news oriented real-time playout solution that also controls CG and teleprompter
• Cinegy Live Type - the new on-air, news workflow oriented CG system - controlled via Cinegy Air News
• Cinegy Prompter - the new fully integrated teleprompter software which is also fully controlled via Cinegy Air News with the anchor being able to manually control the speed

• Cinegy Archive facilitates a collaborative workflow by allowing loggers, story editors and video editors to work on video material in real-time as it is being ingested.
• Users can access media from any location - the production office, the set or another city.
• All access rights can of course be controlled to the lowest level of detail.
• Cinegy enterprise manager allows system administrators to control and modify the operation of the Cinegy system without knowledge of complex SQL routines.
• Diagnostic tools that allow administrators to observe system status and detect bottlenecks.
• Advanced accumulative metadata collection methods.
• The Cinegy Media Cleaner can analyze media usage and then compact rolls to contain just what is in use, which is then copied to archive storage.
• Seamlessly integrates with all Cinegy Workflow products, ensuring that any metadata is accurately created, updated and maintained during every step of the production workflow.
• Cinegy’s software player and video codecs are constantly improved and updated through ongoing development, a benefit that does not pertain to other dedicated hardware codecs.

Technical Info

Cinegy Archive has a multi-tier storage concept that can work with different storage architectures which can even be mixed and matched. From simple NAS to complex HSM or combined - all options are supported. Storage can be added during operation. Using simple NAS, SAMBA or Windows Storage Server the Cinegy Archive can perform storage load balancing for increased performance. Automatic push to, or recall from, digital tape libraries controlled by HSM solutions, by vendors such as Quantum and Xendata, is also supported.
