Cinegy Workspace - Search, Play, Edit

For an efficient workflow, you need to know how to control the playback using the keyboard or mouse and how to find clips in the Cinegy Archive database. The centre window shows a set of search results. Double-click the clip you want to play and the player window appears; press “Play” and the clip plays in the player. The actual status of the video being played in the player is shown in the left bottom part of the window, in this case "Paused". Within the player window you can trim a clip, mark in and out points and create sub-clips.

Cinegy Workspace - Bin Window

A roll (centre of the image) is the container for the original material, the master clips. The clipbins (on the right in the image) contain clips and metadata, which are references to the master clips. Whenever a metadata field is changed in the master clip, the changes will be propagated to all the corresponding clips.

The clipbin interface consists of two main parts: the storyboard view and the table view. All windows can be positioned and sized according to the user needs within the workspace. This allows users to see all of their material at a glance, and easily sort items and edit metadata.
