We have set up the slave database properly but it does not appear in Cinegy Desktop.

Answer

This problem occurs when both master and slave databases were restored from the same backup. Databases with the identical Root ID cannot be used simultaneously. Change the Root ID for the "Slave" DB in Cinegy Enterprise Manager -> database operation -> Change Root ID.
If you are using the 8.0.x version of Cinegy, go to Cinegy Enterprise Manager -> Global parameters and setting -> "Change master Root ID" button.
