We are trying to delete a roll using Cinegy Media Cleaner but the "Delete the unused Roll with its footages" option is grayed out.
Answer
There are several reasons of this behavior.
- The “Remove original files” option is not enabled.
Check if the “Remove original files” option is set to true in Cinegy Enterprise Manager->“Global parameters and settings”. This option enables the removal of original files after media cleaning.
or - The roll was copied to another database with the "share the same footages" option.
When the ris copied to another database with the option selected: “A new roll will share the same footages as the source one”, both source and target rolls share the same footages. In this case, the media cleaning operations are disabled for both rolls. The media cleaner only has information about footages used for the current roll and no information about rolls from other databases. If the shared footage is deleted, other rolls which reference it will be offline. So this restriction is required.
