cinegy gateway has the ability to convert multiple SD or HD SDI streams into a broadcast quality SMPTE-compliant RTP/UDP stream or vice versa. Conversion is done with user-definable quality settings that meet the most demanding broadcast requirements. cinegy gateway serves as a bridge or edge device into IP video and Ethernet networking based signal infrastructures allowing step-by-step SDI to IP migration. Combined with cinegy monitor , cinegy gateway makes it possible to monitor both SDI and IP streams simultaneously, achieving the same results as a hardware multi-monitor solution with greater functionality and far less cost. Cinegy will also feature in the line up of speakers at the SMPTE Conference this year, with CEO Jan Weigner delivering a technical paper about Virtual File Systems, as part of Technical Session 3: Topics in File-Based Workflows and Technologies, which is being held on Tuesday 27th October from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm. This paper will introduce a novel, open and transparent approach to dynamic content exchange between Media Asset Management system based video archives and various video applications. Additionally, Cinegy will sponsor the AMWA (Advanced Media Workflow Association) special seminar on post production workflows using the MXF media format. The seminar, a pre-conference event for the SMPTE Tech Conference and Expo, will begin with a panel discussion at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 26th at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel (Grand Ballroom Salon 2) in Hollywood. The panel discussion will be followed by a technical demonstration featuring Cinegy along with other important industry vendors, demonstrating an end-to-end workflow based on MXF. The event will conclude with a cocktail reception hosted by Cinegy open to all registered SMPTE attendees as well as those attending the AMWA seminar.
